Working With Digital Pictures This workshop will help you take those digital photos you have stored 'somewhere' on your computer
and start using them! You will be given tips on filing and organizing your digital photos, how to rename, tag, file,
resize, crop, and make them usable for all kinds of projects. Never done any editing before? Then this is the workshop for
you. You will be introduced to a free program called Picasa that will help you become a wiz at editing. No more dark photos
or red eyes. You'll even be able to turn your favorites into black and white or classic sepia. Make a reservation
and you will be contacted by the instructor to help customize the class to be just what you need. Supplies needed: bring your laptop if available. If not,
you will be able to share the computer in the classroom and get some hands on experience. When you register, you will be emailed
instructions for downloading Picasa to your computer prior to the workshop. Daytime workshop options: Wednesdays, July 2 or 16 from

Photoshop Elements 5.0 Basic Intro Class

If you have Photoshop Elements software
and would like to learn how to get started, then this is the class for you! We will start at the very beginning and have fun
understanding how it all works. When you complete this class, you will be able to create your own simple digital
page layout. You will learn how to import your pictures, how to layer pics on a background, apply shadows, add text
and elements to your page that make it look realistic. Whether you enjoy hybrid scrapbooking or you're interested in going
totally digital, this class will help you begin to utilize your software and will give you tons of resources, tutorial sites,
and links to lots of freebies to download and begin using right away on your layouts!
*There are no supplies needed for this class, however
if you have PSE on a laptop, you will benefit greatly by bringing your computer and following along as we go. If you
are unable to bring a laptop, then you will be able to watch the demonstration and 'take turns' with other class
members as we practice using the tools in Photoshop Elements on the computer in the crop room.

Photo Transfer Technique and 1 page layout

Tired of the same old way of scrapbooking? Wish you could change up your pages and add a fresh new look?
Now you can, thanks to the magic of photo transfer. A photo transfer is quite simply the transfer of an image from the
orginal to another medium. Your final result is a semi-transparent image you can use anywhere on your page.
We will make a 1 page layout to put our transfered image on. You get to coose the patterned paper
and title of your page.
You will need to bring at least 3 photos that have been professionally processed
or bring in your digital camera card and we can print them here. Inkjet printouts will not work with this technique.

During this fun class we will alter an 8x10 canvas. Come ready to make this altered canvas your own. Bring
your kids and let them make a special door hanging to let the whole world know that it's their room. Or make
a special wall hanging with a thoughtful quote or saying to remind you of a special someone. Makes a great gift.
You'll want to bring a photo so we can enlarge it. That way we can include it on the canvas. Space
is limited so please make a reservation. We want to be sure to have a canvas for everyone! This class if for children
and adults. Children must have an adult present during class.
